Yahoo is Better off Flying Solo

Well it looks as if Microsoft doesn't want to buy Yahoo after all. They are just looking for their search platform and that is the only component they want right now. Who really knows though?

Ballmer wants an alliance with Yahoo instead of an acquisition. Microsoft and Yahoo both want to tackle Google and combining efforts is not the answer. This doesn't create a better system and until one comes along, Google will continue to shine.

Personally, I like Yahoo Search and MSN and their search platform, however, I dont feel like I can get enough impressions or clicks. More traffic would be ideal.

Wait and see how this unfolds...

Microsoft Sweetens the deal for Yahoo

Rumor has is that Microsoft has sweetened the deal for Yahoo. The terms have not been disclosed yet but we will see. Could this be the bid that Jerry Yang has been holding out for?

We will see. I personally think it's a losing hand for both Microsoft and Yahoo. I hope the deal doesn't go through. If it does, I think you will see Google extend its lead into supremacy. I wish a decision would be made one way or the other. This has been hanging on way too long!

Yahoo's Cash Flow will Grow!

Yahoo yesterday reaffirmed its future earnings forecasts and presented a trustworthy case for rejecting a $44.6 billion takeover bid from Microsoft. Jerry Yang says that Yahoo's cash flow could potentially double in the next three years, and sales growth goals for the next 2 years are higher than analysts estimated!

The original offer of $31 a share has declined because of Microsoft's falling share price. My bets are with Yahoo, which isn't the norm. I really hope Yahoo doesn't get bought. It will absolutely destroy their award-winning brand and recognition around the globe. And I really don't think that Microsoft buying Yahoo will lead to a stronger competitor to Google!

Yahoo Rejects Microsoft's Bid

So it looks as if Yahoo will reject Microsoft's $44.6 billion takeover bid. It is possible that Microsoft could try to override Yahoo's decision by taking its offer directly to the shareholders.

Or maybe Microsoft will sweeten its bid... It seems that Microsoft really wants to buy Yahoo if this is the 2nd offer made in as many years. I don't think Microsoft wants to accept the answer "NO".

I don't think this is over yet. I have a feeling that Microsoft will sweeten this deal one more time. Microsoft believes Yahoo's brand, tech staff and services will provide the company with valuable weapons in its so far unsuccessful attempt to narrow Google's massive domination in the lucrative Internet search and advertising markets.
